Golden street and Kafka house
The Lobkovicz palace, which is the lord family inside the castle, can only give you a little experience of that period. The only thing I recommend to see in the castle is the "Golden street". However, the ticket for this place is not sold individually, so I recommend you to buy the most suitable combined ticket and visit this street, the medieval museum and small houses inside are definitely places to visit in Prague.
As a result of the interest of Rudolph II, the king of the period, in alchemy, he invited all the leading alchemists of Europe to Prague and placed them in houses with workshops in this street and asked them to produce gold. Later, these cute houses with their workshops became the settlements of the best craftsmen of Prague.
The famous Prague writer Franz Kafka also lived for a while in house 22 on this street. He wrote his work “The Castle” while living here.
