Prague castle
Since it is called "Prague castle" in English sources, it is not a correct interpretation, although we translate it as "Prague castle". Its original name is “Prazsky Hrad”, the word hrad means an administrative center built on a high point, surrounded by walls, in Slavic languages.
Prague castle, which is at the top of the list of places to visit in Prague, was established on an area of 7.3 hectares, this complex structure consisting of many administrative buildings, palaces, cathedral and gardens, was recorded as the administrative center built on the largest area in Europe. The palace structures in the Prague castle, which lost its glory when the administration passed to Vienna during the Habsburg Dynasty (later called the Austro-Hungarian empire), were completely devastated and looted at the end of the first world war, and eventually the suburb of the city was used as a residential area for low-income people.
It has been brought to its current state with the restorations made after it was included in the UNESCO cultural heritage list at the end of the communist period. Therefore, unfortunately, there is no museum part in Prague Castle that will show you that magnificent palace life.
